A study of organic materials such as clay, wood, fabrics and inks through abstract painting and ceramic sculpture. Exploration of organic materials aligning with digital work, looking into how nature meets artificial. Ongoing since 2022.
Ceramic sculpture
Clay meditation is a personal method I use for emotional processing. In featured examples used to hold space for studying my emotional self-image as well as exploring and redefining manhood and the role of men in society. Related to an artistic practice derived from personal and collective emotional work, a process that partly began during our work in the Playing man collective. Ongoing practice since 2022.
In my recent work I have been mostly focusing on the topic of what I’ve chosen to call emotional self-image. Currently most of the mediums I work with (photography, painting, ceramic sculpture, writing and poetry) are somewhat revolving around this same framework. To me this means a way to find meanings and connections through my work, to locate myself in relation to my surroundings. Reflecting and studying my own standpoint inside time and space as well as contemporary society.
